Sekuworks, of Harrison, OH, USA, a narrow web printer and converter specializing in proprietary brand protection solutions, has been acquired by SCT International, a holding company focused on security printing and brand protection. SCT announced that it has named Robert W. Spiller as its president and CEO, and Joseph B. Schutte III, Sekuworks’ founder, as its chief technology officer.

Sekuworks, which began operations in 2003, combines innovative security technologies with proprietary and patent pending manufacturing methods to create individualized customer brand protection solutions. The Sekuworks plant is certified as a Class One (highest level) facility, assuring security and accountability to customers.

“SCT brings critical financial and management resources to Sekuworks, ensuring its ability to service its ever expanding customer base,” says Schutte. “SCT’s capabilities will prove invaluable as we seek to further upgrade and install extensive new manufacturing capabilities, recruit additional key individuals to the SCT/Sekuworks team and support our rapid growth.” Schutte has more than 30 years in the high security printing industry and has held a number of senior management positions in the brand protection, anti-counterfeiting and anti-diversion arena. He founded Sekuworks after developing and patenting technology and software that is the Secure Document Print System (the “Sekuweb”).
